my little Russian doll.................

I have rested my busy knitting needles - sorry cushion I will finish you soon but stocking stitch can be quite boring. Don't be fooled into thinking that I am doing chores - no my needles have been swapped for a crochet hook and I have made a little Russian doll.

I saw the pattern earlier in the month and it has been on my to do list ever since. If you want to see the original which is really beautiful visit Annaboos House - a blog I adore, full of amazing ideas and easy to follow tutorials - you should stop by.

I hope you like her.....................

The only slight problem is I think she wants a family - she does look a little bit lonely....................what do you think I should call her?

talk soon x

  3. She is lovely! I love matryoshka dolls; my husband's aunt is a businesswoman who spends a lot of time in Russia for her work and she has given me two authentic matryoshka dolls, which I love. I love anything with a Russian doll motif actually. I think she needs a traditional Russian name, maybe Tatiana.

  12. Oh, I LOVE your little matryoshka doll! My family is Ukrainian, and I've often thought of making some of these for my daughter. We several sets of the wooden nesting matryoshkas but I always thought it would be nice to have the soft dolls! Adorable!

  30. I love her, and so happy to meet you on Craft schooling Sunday. We have a doll that looks like she's from Russia, and so her name is Luba, though of course Natasha, Svetlana, and Tatyana are also nice and a little more exotic!
