I am joining in with
Chrissie and
Marianne again with their crochet along. Last week I made a granny square hot water bottle cover and I liked it so much I thought I would make another. I started to plan my colours and then I remembered that a few months ago I had started a
granny square blanket and then got a bit bored and left the squares in a bag (does that sound familiar or am I the only one that abandons projects!)
I found the bag and decided to put the squares to good use. Firstly I made a another hot water bottle cover and then a sweet little cushion. I am pleased with the results but sadly the photos aren't very good quality - sorry.
I hope you like them and if you have time do pop over to see the other crochet along
projects
I have also linked in with
Ginny and
Tami, sorry I don't have a book to share with you for Yarn along this week.
happy Halloween and talk soon x
Glad you have been inspired by my hot water bottle construction, it really does make it easy doesn't it? What a great way to turn a WIP into two great projects. Jo x
ReplyDeletethank you Jo hope you have a good weekend x
DeleteWell Sue, the photos might not be up to your own quality standards (although they look good to me!), but you have to admit that the crochet is really good. Love the idea that you could snuggle up with a hottie and a matching cushion! How cool is that. xx
ReplyDeletethat does sound good I hadn't thought of that. Hope you have a good weekend x

DeleteI love that colour combo Sue! And yes, I have abandoned projects in the closet...I bet if all us bloggers joined up our abandoned crochet, we'd have one heck of a lovely blanket! ;-) Chrissie xxx

DeleteBoth your projects are absolutely lovely Sue. I do this often too...start projects and then abandon them! But I like how you used your squares here, great ideas.
ReplyDeleteMarianne x
thank you Marianne - I am loving your cushion too x
DeleteOH your HWBC is looking so lovely and cosy, as is your gorgeous little cushion Sue. What a great way to use up those squares - and relieve any guilt about lack of completion of the blanket! Oh yes, I've been there and understand - right now I'm wondering how I can turn a small (not quite) hexy blanket into a cushion shape without undoing a heap of joins! Joy x
ReplyDeletehope you manage to complete your cushion it sounds lovely - have a good weekend x
DeleteThose cuddly items are justo reflect. I am working in ExACTLY the same way. From now on I am not going to worry about the "half dones" in the cupboard of doom under the stairs. Just pull them out at Christmas and whoop, whoop .
