I recently made a baby hat and scarflett set for a new baby boy and I wanted to make a quick knit for his little sister. My new book came to the rescue and I made a lovely knitted headband. It has a fine lace band which is a simple 4 row pattern and is finished off with a layered flower. I am very pleased with the result and already have a few more little girls in mind as I can't wait to knit some more. Unfortunately apart from my new knitting book I just haven't had the time for any other reading I hope when I catch up with you all at next weeks yarn along I will have started a new novel.......fingers crossed.
I think it's turned out really well................ |

ReplyDeleteHow pretty, no wonder you want to make more, sounds like a really useful book :) xx
ReplyDeleteThe headband is cute, the pink and green spring colours pop off the screen.
ReplyDeletevery nice projects :-)
ReplyDeleteI just love the baby boy hat and scarflet ... the shade of steel blue is gorgeous, and the stripes make it so cute! I've not seen a scarflet before, but it looks so practical and the button makes it cute besides. The headband is a great idea. I recently bought a book on knitted & crocheted flowers, and they look so realistic, but I'm a little hesitant to start on them. Have a great day Sue :) Wendy
