yarn along - another project..................

My yarn along project this week involves a new crochet block. I have made lots of traditional granny square blankets and thought it was about time I tried a different pattern. It's still a square but a different style - very simple but I really like it - what do you think...................

It started with my new yarn...................


Then I was inspired by my new book............................


I chose my pattern..........................


Now I am on a roll.........................


I feel a new blanket has just been started...................

    I have the knitting version of that book and it is very well laid out. Love the squares they look so cosy rather than holey,, definitely blanket squares. Jo x

    Ooooo! Can't wait to see the finished result!!! I've always just made blankets with a HUGE granny square (versus linking individual ones). I've never done a collection of squares into 1 blanket before. That's definitely on my list of to do's.

    Those colours of your yarn are just gorgeous - so soft and pretty, it's going to look so beautiful and I really like the square pattern too. I must have a look out for the book, it looks interesting - would you recommend it?
