My lovely trip - part two............

I had such a fun time staying with Kate and this visit we made sure we had lots of time to be creative.  When Kate was in Canada she had found a little book about twig weaving and couldn't wait to have a go. The inspiration came from here

One morning after breakfast we took Jake for a walk on the green in search for some fallen twigs that we could use for our project. We needed small v shaped branches and amazingly we found lots of small twigs on the ground, Jake had such fun helping us forage amongst the fallen leaves.

Once we got home we brushed our twigs down to get rid of any dead leaves or crumbly bark then we were ready to choose our yarn and start our twig weaving.

The tutorial for how to weave came from here

Once you have chosen your yarn start at the bottom of the V and wind your yarn around the twig to give you the warp threads............

then you are ready to start weaving................................

we had such a lot of fun, make sure you check out the tutorial it gives a step by step guide and then you too can start to twig weave................

Surprisingly both mine and Kate's other half''s just don't get twig weaving at all - men!

talk soon x
