As you will know I have been wanting to start a sewing project for ages but keep getting distracted by yarn but at last I have started.
I bought
Helen Philips book a few weeks ago and really wanted to make a house cushion but I have decided to start with something smaller that I can sew by hand........I have chosen this lovely garland as my first project.
doesn't it look beautiful.................. |
I read the instructions carefully............. |
I had fun getting my fabric stash out and sorting out the different prints that I would use.
this is the fabric I have decided on............. |
I made my 4" template....................... |
Cut out my circles................. |
started to stitch....................... |
Not quite perfect but I am getting the hang of it - I will update you on my progress................
If you have time pop over to see
Kirsty for more ideas on "my creative space".

ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous and so inspirational! I have made something similar for a pin cushion but never thought for a moment that they could be used in a garland - genius. I would love to make some for my niece! Love Kate (from greedy for colour) xxx.
