The pattern for Rachel's latest bag is in "Granny Chic" which luckily I had bought last year, so not only have I started a new project but I have revisited a lovely book which was just gathering dust on my book case. I love the way the book is written and I am adoring my crochet - I did need to send a help email to Rachel along the way but I was on the right track and my bag is growing beautifully.
Another bonus has been finding a project for this lovely stash of cotton I can't believe that it's nearly a year ago that I stumbled across this amazing bargain.
Before I go, I hope you are enjoying the weather if you live in my part of the world and if the winter is with you - keep warm and well wrapped up. Thank you for your amazing comments and support especially about my shoulder, I have taken lots of your advice on board, my new clover crochet hook has arrived - thanks Jo.

I bookmarked the book, my Daughter likes to crochet/knit bags. Yours will be a happy bag.
ReplyDeleteThe bag is looking good - I keep saying that I am going to have another go at crochet, but I never find the time!
ReplyDeleteGreat crochet! Wish I was that good!
ReplyDeleteWell done getting back to crochet - those beautiful bright colours will energise you as you go! And you must plan a shopping excursion to test the bag, make sure it works properly... ;-) Chrissie x
ReplyDeleteSo pleased to hear that you're back crocheting, you must feel so happy. Loving the look of that bag. That book was a Christmas pressie from a friend and I love it. I also spotted that bag, really looking forward to seeing it finished xoxo
ReplyDeleteThe bag looks great :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd a lovely job you're doing too Sue - so happy to hear you can crochet again!
ReplyDeleteI am so 'gone' on those hooks that after waiting AGES for the local shop to get more sizes in - to no avail - I sent an order off to Deramores UK, so am expecting to receive them in a week or so - along with more yarn! Well, how could I send for only crochet hooks when there is so much yarn to fall for!
Do enjoy your summer days - sounds like it's settled in over there at last! We're still having very cold nights but yesterday was sunny and quite warm, thankfully!
