52 weeks of happy - 38/52
It's time to join in with Jen again and share my 4 favourite happies with you - this week the theme is all about what comes in and out of my kitchen...................
1. a lovely happy hour wandering around Lakeland and finding lots of things I really needed!
2. such a happy feeling having bowls of foraged hedgerow fruits and plums from my garden
3. the fruits of my labour - jars of lovely jam and lemon curd
4. another happy hour making pretty cakes to give away to friends and family.......
Another happy productive week with a kitchen full of lovely baking aromas and of course the mess that baking and preserving makes - but all good fun. Although after my marathon mini cupcake bake I didn't wash up until early evening - don't tell anyone......
talk soon x

I knew as soon as I saw the start of the pictures that you had been at Lakeland. Just about my favourite shop I think. I could spend ages in there, and far too much money if I let myself! Hope your friends and family loved the cakes that you made - with some of your Lakeland shopping?
ReplyDeletethank you Amy and I did try out my new sprinkles x
DeleteWhat a lovely lot of happy. xx
ReplyDeletethank you Clare x
DeleteLovely happies. I'm very happy to be in the kitchen as much as possible. :)
ReplyDeleteI love my kitchen too x
DeleteNow that's my kind of happy! Lakeland is like a toy store for us crafty foodie people, isn't it? ;-) Chrissie x
ReplyDeleteLakeland should have special crafty day events x
DeleteYour friends and family are lucky people to receive such pretty cakes. I live fairly near the original Lakeland Shop in Windermere and like visiting. It's full of gadgets I didn't know existed or even needed before. I find it hard not to buy. And I get the catalogue which I take to work so that I can do some virtual shopping in my lunch break.

thank you - I love the catalogue x
DeleteLovely flow-through Happies for your week Jan - our big local crafty supply place is called 'Spotlight' and I could spend hours in there - as well as lots of dollars!

when I go to Lakeland I have to agree my spending limit before I go in but always end up negotiating a deal with myself!!
DeleteI like that - well put Sue! xx
DeleteBaking brings so much satisfaction especially when it is seasonal. We are picking plums and apples too but I am making wine as well as jam. Jo x
ReplyDeleteI have just experimented with plum liquer, vodka base with sugar and plums - keep your fingers crossed x
DeleteSue you are so amazingly talented when it comes to cake making, they look amazing. I just love plum jam and have also made a little last week. There is nothing quite like it in my opinion, but then it is also my favourite crumble. A lovely and very productive week. Hope you are feeling well. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI am on the mend - thank you for your lovely comments x
