More autumnal knits..............

After the delights of knitting and crocheting my acorns, I have now made some lovely oak leaves and a pumpkin or two to add to my autumnal collection.




The leaves are lovely to knit and I have varied my needle size and yarn to get a variety of sizes and textures - I love them. The pumpkins should be knitted in the round but I knitted them flat and then joined the side seam. They have stitched together well, the scale isn't quite right as some of my acorns are nearly as big as the pumpkins so I am going to increase the size of the next pumpkin I make.

The patterns have been developed by the very talented Linda I adore her blog Natural Surburbia..and are both available free here and here.

My jar is beginning to look good and all the lovely autumn shades look perfect together.  Alex has been teasing me about how I spend my time and was giggling about what his friends would think if he told them his Nana spends her time knitting acorns - not sure if the addition of  pumpkins to the tale will make me sound better or worse?

    They are looking fantastic Sue! I crocheted some acorns after seeing yours, now I need to add some leaves - and a pumpkin, too, your pumpkins really add to the 'still life' in yarn! Chrissie x

    I love the jar idea, would it be okay to borrow it? Your pumpkins are fabulous I shall pop over and have a look at the pattern if not I might stick some of my mini fabric pumpkins in my jar.
