I measured the hot water bottle and then started to crochet in the round using double crochets in random stripes
I am going to add a little flap of some sort at the bottom so that the cover can be removed for washing - I will take some more photos when I have finished. I hope it works as I have another 3 or 4 of these cute little hot water bottles.
talk soon x
These will be such sweet gifts ... the yarn looks very soft & comfy. We used to have hot water bottles in our beds each night in the winter ... but they were so HOT you couldn't touch them with your feet ... too bad my mom didn't ever think to knit a cozy for them ;) Wendy xo

They will look great :) I tried making a hot water bottle cover once but it didnt work out very well. Although my hot water bottle cover is getting a bit tatty...maybe an excuse to make it a new one?
