52 weeks of happy - 44/52..............

The year is racing and I'm up to week 44 of my happy posts. This weeks happies are all quite crafty which won't be much of a surprise....................

1. A lovely parcel arrived in the post for me - I will share all the goodies inside with you soon.

2. I've started another Maggie Rabbit it's for my mum for Christmas - I had forgotten how lovely they are.

3. My first bash at making felt - more to come

4. This lovely book has filled with such inspiration - I've found lots of Christmas gift's to knit

I've been a bit washed out for the last few days so it's been lovely just to sit and ponder. I have had the luxury of flicking through lots of my favourite knitting and crochet books, and even found some I had forgotten that I had bought.

This quiet time has inspired me to tackle some new projects but I have ensured that all the projects are small. In fact most will only need one or two balls of yarn which stops me feeling overwhelmed and also means I can start to use up some of my yarn stash.

I've also really enjoyed my hand sewing and have got on quite well with my mums rabbit. I've bought this pattern to knit a little raglan cardigan for the finished rabbit if I get the time.

I've still got lots of things to share with you that have happened over the last few weeks so I promise to catch up with myself and post a bit more frequently.

talk soon x

  1. I am enjoying your "happy" posts!
    xo Kris

  2. Lovely happies, looking forward to seeing what you make, oh and what in the parcel!!! nothing like a good post day, rest well.
    Clare xx

  3. Hi Sue, Making your own felt, and Maggie Rabbit - I can't wait to see the finished retults. The little
raglan cardi looks brilliant. Take good care of yourself, and post when you can.

  4. Hope that your time not rushing about is doing you some good Sue. It is nice to spend some time looking through books and thinking about what you might do - or just daydreaming!! Your bunny looks fab. xx

  5. I have been felting like mad too. I made one of those rabbits but never quite go the ears right, it is time for another one I think. Jo x

  6. Looks like your going to be busy, can not wait to see all u have made x

  7. It must be that time of year, Sue, because I'm feeling run ragged! I like your quiet crafting moments, I may try some instead of racing to finish projects and whip through a pattern - the joy is in the process, isn't it? Time to slow down...and I can't wait to see what you've been up to! Stay well, Chrissie x

  8. Love your "happies"!! I like accessory knitting too, mostly because I've never jumped into the large sweater makings etc. A scarf will take me long enough! It's good to be able to sit back and gather yourself together again every so often. And rejuvenating with some crafty books sounds the perfect cure. Have a wonderful, relaxing day Sue :) Wendy x

  9. I like the look of that book! And curious to see what's in the parcel...
