I love Peonies and just had to share these beautiful pink images from my garden with you. The flowers are so heavy they are breaking the plants thin stems and even though I use garden canes to offer extra support the plants are overwhelmed with the weight of the flower heads. I have jugs full of Peonies in the house and also a table in the garden overflowing with the sumptuous blooms ...........................just adorable.
Don't they look stunning - the sun is still shining.................
talk soon x
Gorgeous, you can never have too much pink, in my opinion!
ReplyDeleteOh Sue, they are so beautiful! You can send me a bunch over any day! What a fantastic colour!

Oh, thanks for the insight - I'm a first-time Peony grower (just planted them last year) and I had to pick them for a vase as I thought the dogs had knocked them over - didn't realise it was because the heads are too heavy for the stems. So, thanks for educating me & I shall now go & apologise to my pups for the telling off they got! ;-)
ReplyDeleteMine are a pretty pale pink (the peonies, not the dogs !) but yours are such a wonderfully delicious colour - simply beautiful.
Have a good week,
Xx

ReplyDeleteThey do indeed look stunning. I love peonies, they are a firm favourite of mine. The seem to be easy to grow so I may plant a peony bush in our garden. x
ReplyDeleteMy goodness they almost look like giant tissue-paper pompom flowers in all the craft magazines! Absolutely gorgeous! Chrissie x
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful. Mine are over now the wind got to them even though I had staked them, I managed to salvage some and put them into a vase though to try to enjoy them a little longer.
