Christmas Craft Market ..............

The event was smaller than we expected as quite a lot of the exhibitors had dropped out at the last minute, which was a disappointment. Normally the Inspire venue is quite busy and lots of people exhibit but the Christmas Market was relatively small and consisted of  nine stalls in the main cafe area.

The journey to the Craft Market had been good so Pam and I arrived quite early and were lucky to have the pick of the tables, we chose a nice spot and made sure we were well away from the drafty front door.

On a good note, the weather did improve, the rain stopped and it tried very hard to brighten up for us.

 setting up ............

We always worry that we won't have enough stock - but we had more than enough to fill our table.

Overall the day was relatively quiet with very few people visiting the market, I'm not sure if this was due to the weather, lack of publicity or the economy - maybe a mix of all three.

However, it was nice to meet up with other crafters, the organisers were friendly and welcoming and the people who did visit our table were very complimentary about our knitting and crochet.

By the end of the day we had made enough sales to cover our table costs and give us both a little profit -  making it a pleasant and worthwhile day.
