Most years we sow sunflower seeds for the grandchildren and this year was no exception. I currently have a kitchen windowsill full of strong seedlings. I can't wait to plant them out with the children, they choose a plant each and then we label them and watch them grow - unfortunately a little bit of competitiveness does creep in.

A great idea Sue. It brings back memories of the sunflower competitions with our children. So good for the young ones to get interested in growing things. My grown up kids now great gardeners. Blessings, Trills.
