52 weeks of happy - 11/52

I had been thinking back over my week at the things that had made me feel happy and given me lots to smile about, and a theme was developing - my daughters.........

I am such a lucky mum and this sounds a bit soppy but my daughters just complete me (so very Jerry Maguire but true). I could just not imagine a single day without them. They have grown into strong, beautiful independent women; they have welcomed the life changes motherhood brings and have flourished in this new role.

I wondered about sharing three images of Kate, Laura and Vicky as little girls, but decided to share wedding day photos, as this was such an important day for each of them and me of course.............

Vicky - June 2011..............
Laura - May 2012...............

Kate - October 2012

Don't they look beautiful - my perfect three girls, three weddings in 18/12 was pretty busy but wonderful.

I am going to get such a telling off for this post - I can hear it now, oh mum that was just so embarrassing! Mum you should just get out more, oh mum you are so soppy - but I think it's worth getting a scolding and I thought you might like to see this I just loved this film.

52 weeks of happy - 9/52

Tuesdays seem to come around very quickly and it's time to join Jen again with my 52 weeks of happy post. Unfortunately I'm not feeling very happy today, in fact I feel a bit grotty. I think I have succumbed to the nasty flu virus, which isn't surprising as Laura has been really poorly, and both her little boys have been ill. To make matters worse it's my birthday today and I really don't want to spend a day in bed or resting on the sofa.

Anyway I must get back to my post as it will do me good to recapture some of the things that have made me smile during the last week.

1.  My tea party under the table with Noah gave me lots to smile about........

white chocolate buttons are best eaten from a tea cup ....................

2. Daisy's chocolaty face was an absolute picture .......

I can always wash my face later................

3. I've finished my first Billie blanket ..............I think it's so lovely, it will be hard to part with it.

I love my blanket.................

4. Manchester City beat Chelsea 2 - 0, wonder if we can catch Manchester United.........hope so!

what an amazing goal...................

I'm already feeling a bit brighter and if I rest up for a few days I can celebrate my birthday over the weekend when I've got more energy. Mr R is taking me out to dinner on Saturday which will be fun.

PS I have just added a followers gadget on my side bar, it would be great if you would click on it, as I've only got a few lovely but lonely followers at the moment x

52 weeks of happy - 7/52

I love this regular post as it encourages me to reflect back on my week. My weeks are busy and have recently involved lots of hospital visiting, spending time with poorly parents and also lots of fun playful times with my grandchildren.

It is a time in my life that involves caring for so many different generations - I was in the car recently with my mother, daughter and granddaughter - a car full of powerful opinionated women ( and that was mainly 3 year old Daisy) spanning 4 generations.

Looking back over the week so many things have given me joy and made me smile, albeit sometimes a tired smile. I have chosen four images to share with you - some are surprisingly frivolous.

1. I adore lip glosses - still searching for the perfect one with staying power - any suggestions

2. Blankets always feature high in my happy thoughts

3. Flowers - my beautiful sunny flowers have made me smile everyday

4. The last of my 3/12 trial of Homemaker arrived yesterday - full of happy smiley things .............

52 weeks of happy - 4/52

This week has been cold and snowy with ice underfoot, I haven't stirred far from home as I don't like driving in these conditions and also haven't been feeling very well.

Thinking about things that make me smile and feel happy are even more important at times like this, I hope you like my images -

1. A tasty lamb joint with rosemary from the garden, ready for lunch with my parents - yummy.

2. A sneaky rest all wrapped up in my favourite blanket  - so warm and toasty.

3. The sun has come out I hope it melts all the snow away - the garden looks so bright.

4. Kate's calendar has arrived, I ordered it from America in early December - so happy it's here at last.

52 weeks of happy - 3/52

Another week has flown by, I hope you like the images that made me smile and feel happy this week.
I received my copy of Mollie Makes today which is always a special day and makes me smile.

The house felt especially cold so I turned the fire up high and snuggled into an armchair and dipped into my favourite magazine - bliss.

Outside the garden was grey and dreary but I noticed some lovely new buds coming into life - the wonders of nature even at -2 degrees.

Lastly a homemade Bramley apple pie - yummy I can't wait for teatime.

3. mini prep bowls - I love them and can't wait to use them, I have just bought them from my favourite store.

52 weeks of happy .... 1/52

I have decided to join in with a 52 weeks of happy post, I have been inspired by Jacquie, Kelly and Jen's idea of celebrating the joy that small things can bring by capturing and sharing 4 happy moments each week.

I will try to do my post on a Tuesday so this is a catch up post so that I don't miss the first week of January.

Today has already been filled with lots of happy moments that have made me smile and smile, it was hard to only pick 4.

1. My lovely breakfast of granola and blueberries  - yummy and healthy

2.  Breakfast with Jake before he goes back home to London - I will miss him so much

3. Helping Kate plan the yarn for her hexagon blanket - the pattern is amazing (I want one)

4.My Cath Kidston Christmas present - it fits perfectly in my handbag (I can't wait for rain!)

Hope you like my first "52 weeks of  happy post" of the year and that you feel inspired to join in.
